Krystnell A. Storr

Here’s what I did…

First, I got a B.A. in biology from Earlham College.

Then, I got a M.A. in journalism from NYU.

All to put in the work of becoming a
great science writer.

It led to a bit of science and policy reporting. . .

Then I started writing for a much younger audience. Keep scrolling.

I was the associate editor for Choices—a Scholastic classroom magazine that covers health and life skills for teenagers. I edited the debates, wrote profiles, and designed infographics for the monthly publication. When that was all done, I curated the Teacher’s Guide and the support materials that accompany every article.

From there, I joined NOVA, a science documentary series
on PBS.

I was their first Science and Equity Editor and I worked on a ton of episodes.

Here are some of my favorites:

The Battle to Beat Malaria

Star Chasers of Senegal

Hunt for the Oldest DNA

Weathering the Future.

But, if you haven’t had your fill, there’s more.

Here is everything for .Mic.

An article for FiveThirtyEight.

A branded-advertising article I wrote for Forbes.

A few stories I wrote during grad school where I was Editor-in-Chief of Scienceline.
